Men's Health 10k in danger
FNF Scotland on
Friday, September 28, 2012 at 5:22PM The Men's Health Forum Scotland, organisers of the Glasgow Men's Health 10k for the last 7 years, has no government funding this year. While still trying to apply for specific funding they are raising the real prospect that there will be no race in 2013.
They are looking for donations to keep the event going as well as lobbying of potential funders.
As well as giving thousands of men and their family and friends a great day out, the Men's 10k has a more serious side and that’s to engage men in Scotland in healthy physical activity and to promote health and wellbeing all year round.
The 10k has been a fundraising event for runners raising money for FNF allowing them not only to raise their own fitness level but also to allow non resident dads to show their own kids (and grandchildren and nephews and nieces) their commitment to them.
