Please note that although we try to ensure that all this information is accurate, we would always suggest you also check with a lawyer if possible. Researching this information takes a lot of work, and we are very grateful to the student volunteers who have helped us in compiling various items, and to the lawyers and judges who have given us much useful information over the past few years.
Our publications are downloadable at no charge. We are encouraged by the regular feedback we receive about the value our guides have been to those who have used them. More than 3,000 copies of our Guide to Representing Yourself in the Scottish Family Courts have been downoaded in the last two years.

Our guide covers the new arrangements for Child Welfare Reporters introduced in October 2015. Fomerly called Bar Reports, these independent reports are commissioned by the court in child contact cases. Our guide explains the system and gives advice about what the Reporter is looking for and how to focus on the best interests of your child.
