FNF Scotland in parenting courses

Following our first training course for separated fathers last Autumn in Glasgow, we are running courses in Edinburgh and Glasgow in early 2014.

The eight week evening courses are for fathers living apart from their children or caring for them alone.

Training is provided by Parent Network Scotland, using their Parent Matters training programme.  The courses are free, thanks to funding from the Big Lottery.  We are running these courses because we know that being a parent is harder when you are living apart.

During the course, fathers will explore separated parenting, share expertise, learn about the needs, feelings and behaviour of their children, discuss parenting styles, assertiveness and listening.  Participants will be helped to develop listening and negotiation skills and explore how to deal with behavioural problems.

To indicate interest or book a place on a course, register here or contact Ian Maxwell at [email protected] or on 0131 557 2440.
