Entries in group meetings (1)

Four lively local FNF groups

Last week was a busy one for local Families Need Fathers' self-help groups in Scotland, with three of the four groups holding meetings.

Although the regular date for the new Stirling group will be the second Tuesday at the Family Life Centre, the preliminary meeting was held at the Settle Inn last Tuesday.  Four existing members attended - a good basis for the new group.  The first open meeting on 8th November will be publicised in local press and radio.

Glasgow FNF had their busiest meeting of 2011 last week in O'Neils in Merchant Square, with twenty-plus people attending including a lot of new faces.

Aberdeen FNF meetings haven't reached double figures yet, but the attendance is steady with new people coming to Queens Cross Church on the 3rd Thursday of every month.  Our public event in Aberdeen on 7th December should help to boost numbers - watch this space for details.

Next meeting in the FNF Scotland calendar is the one in Edinburgh, at 10 Palmerston Place on Monday 7th November.  For further details of all meetings see the FNF Scotland web site or contact the Edinburgh office on 0131 557 2440.  And if you want to start a local meeting to fill in one of the gaps in the map, we can help to make it happen.
