Monthly Group Meetings

We've found that it helps for parents to talk to others who are in a similar situation and are able to share their experiences. Our members can talk to and support each other directly, share their experiences and provide help. You may be looking for others to talk to, or need help of specific sorts - this is especially useful if you are going through a court process.

Meetings are organised and run by FNFS members who are volunteers with FNFS staff in attendance.  We sometimes invite representatives of relevant organisations to speak at meetings.  Most of our meetings have a lawyer present and we are very grateful to the family lawyers who donate their time to attend our meetings and give general advice. Some meetings also have short one-to-one advice sessions with these lawyers.

Please note that our meetings are open to all - if you are a grandparent, aunt, uncle, family friend who would like to attend on behalf of your son, daughter, sibling etc. then we will make you very welcome.  If you are visiting a meeting and would like a relative or friend to accompany you, they are very welcome to attend.

If there aren't meetings already in your area, you may wish to consider starting one up. If you would like to find out more, please contact info@fnfscotland.org

You don't have to be a member of FNF Scotland to attend meetings, but we would encourage you to become an FNFS supporter.

All local meetings are from 7pm-9pm.

If you want to talk to someone first ring the Edinburgh office on 0131 557 2440

See the pages for Edinburgh, Glasgow, Central Scotland, Aberdeen and Renfrewshire for details of meeting locations and dates.
